Here's #12 :) I've been using my old Olympus digital camera for the last few macro shots. I don't think they look as good as my macro photos done with my Sony Cyber Shot. Can't wait for that camera to be back. It's so tiny and easy to use. My Olympus is bigger and bulkier and only 5.0 pixels. Only three more weeks till I get it back from the shop!
Today we have a birthday party in the morning for Davis to attend and William has Karate in the afternoon. Friday we have the long awaited playdate with William's favorite friend. Everyday he wakes up and says, "only xx more day till I can play with Ty." They play so well together.
We slept with the windows open last night. oh so sweet. I swear I slept like a babe. Yea that spring is finally here!

#11 in the macro challenge. I broke away from the seaside theme. These stickers were sitting on my work table.I loved the way the light was hitting them and their arrangement.
Here's a photo of my side door. A few years ago I cut some forsythia branches and then stuck them into a pot... and they actually rerooted themselves. So now I have this beautiful plant in a pot ready to be showcased by my side door. I did cut some additional blooming branches to fill it out. Pretty huh?
And can you believe how grown up William + Davis look? I swear, they were just little kids not so long ago! Erin from Dani be Good is right... they grown up in the blink of an eye! I can't believe it is already Wednesday!

Keeping with my beach theme, here's my 10th image in the Macro Photo Challenge. I found my old camera's battery so I am able to take photos again. My other camera should be back with me, where it belongs, within the next four-five weeks. Yes. That. Long. Can you believe it? I never realized how much I used my camera. I miss having it around!
Here's William giving my friend Theresa his best Indiana Jones pose. He was really into posing for her. Quite the ham huh? She sent me a couple of other great photos, but I do not want to post them without her permission since her daughter is in them.
Haven't you missed seeing my kids? It's been awhile since I've posted photos of them. Well, over the weekend I posted the photos of Davis, but it's been so long since I have. We're on vacation this week, so expect to see some fun stuff :)

It's Friday and I am as happy as a clam :) he he he
Today the weather is suppose to be in the 70's. This weekend kicks off the kid's vacation week. We have an afternoon play date at a friend's house. What a better way to start a vacation for them :)
Weekend plans include gardening and more spring cleaning. We're hoping we might see one of my sisters or brother this weekend. Nicole just came back from 15 days in Paris. (yup, I'm jealous) and the kids love seeing them.
Thanks for visiting this week. Have a great weekend!

Here's my latest macro photo. It may be one of my last ones for awhile, as my camera is in the shop being repaired :( Quite sad about it, but hopefully it will be back and better than ever! I have another camera, but I can't find the battery recharger so, I can't use the camera. Maybe this weekend, with all my cleaning, I will find it.
We have been having fantastic weather here lately. Just gorgeous. Lots of playdates for the kids. Lots of spring clean up and gardening. I've been rearranging furniture and swapping out old photos for new photos. I've really been on a roll with reorganizing... and it feels so good :)
What has everyone else been up to? Anything exciting?

I have taken seven macro shots so far for the challenge. I think it's pretty cool to see all of them together like this. You can definitely see similiar patterns, shapes, and colours in the collection.
I am totally bummed because I have to bring my camera into the shop today to be evaluated for repair. The camera is making a weird noise when you hold it vertically, which isn't good :( I am going to try to take some photos for the week this morning. But the sun is struggling to come out, so I am not sure what kind of lighting I will get. One thing I have learned from this challenge, that I did know before, but really know now... lighting is KEY :)
I hope everyone is having a great weekend. Enjoy!

Here is #7 of 30. I love sea urchins. The texture, the colour, shape. Pretty huh?
This morning we had an amazing thunderstorm. The kids were in awe at the amount of rain just pouring down. Now it's a bit sunny, though it's not suppose to last. I so wish it would. I have some hostas that I want to dig, divide, and plant. So much gardening to do!
Today I have to bring my camera to the shop. It's making a noise that I do not think cameras should make. Major Boo Hoo! My warranty is up on Monday... (figures huh) I hope it's nothing serious, but I have a feeling I'm going to lose my camera for awhile :(
So what are you doing this weekend? Anything fun? Whatever it is, I hope you have a wonderful two days!

Here is my 6th image for the Macro Photo Challenge. If you have not checked out the flickr group of these images, you really should. There are some amazing shots there.
Today is almost 70 degrees out! Which is such a tease... as this weekend will be cold, rainy and we might even have a snow storm. How crummy is that? Well, I'm trying to live in the "present" so i am enjoying the day and not really thinking any further than the warm sun on my face :) Happy Thursday everyone!

Here is my fifth photo for the Macro Photo Challenge. So loving the macro feature. I now look at everyday objects + think to myself... mmm would that make a good macro shot?
Hope everyone had a terrific weekend. How come they go so fast? Has anyone figured that out yet :)
Saturday night (well, it was around 1:30 am... so it was really Sunday morning) I woke up with my stomach feeling pretty queasy, and just like William the Saturday before, I got sick. But unlike William, I actually made it to the bathroom :) I was up all night/morning... till around 7:30. Then I spent the day in bed trying to recover. And believe it or not, by 6:00pm Sunday night, I actually felt better. So it must be a 24 hour bug that I had.
My bookclub met last night and we all concluded that we were not all "enlighted" by Eckart Tolle's book. I just did not have any "ah huh" moments. The writing is a bit esoteric, making it hard to read more than a few pages without stopping and thinking, Huh??? What was that? The main message/concept that I am taking away from the book...live in the TODAY. Be present. But we all know that right?
I need to review my booklist and come up with a new good book to read. It's been awhile since I read a really good book.
The sun is shining and I think I need to go outside and do a bit of gardening :)
Have a great day everyone!

# 4 in a series of 30. Yikes, did I say 30?
I am hoping not to run out of steam on the 30 day Macro Photo challenge. (don't get me wrong, I am totally enjoying the challenge) but I might end up skipping a few days here and there... because, well, that's how life goes :) I am going to make a concerted effort to post a photo daily :)
It's rainy and cold day here on the East Coast. All I want to do is drink coffee and read, but it is time to clean out the kid's toys and do a major spring clean up. I might finish today/tonight with that :) And then hopefully the weekend will be decent so we can do some gardening.
Have a super weekend everyone! As always, thanks for stopping by and saying hello!

For those of you who have been reading my blog for a while, you know that I did a series of A-Z illustrations, that incorporated pages from the dictionary. That was my inspiration for the starfish I did the other day + for this photo as well. I figured, I could do some sort of series :)
I don't know why, but I just love using the pages as an element in my work. I think it's the black + white, the words, and the graphic feature of text that floats my little boat.
Is anyone else joining the Macro Photo Challenge? If so, let me know so I can check out your work and learn something new :)
