It's been a busy few weeks. Sold some of my ABC prints in my Etsy store. Had tons of inquiries for my wine + gift tags, sold some of them in my online store, and filled a few wholesales orders. phew. I'm glad it is the weekend. Not that I am complaining. Nothing makes me happier than to be filling orders :)
Here on the east coast, it's suppose to be sunny but still cool this weekend. Perfect weather for spring clean up. What will you all be doing? Anything fun?

Last week I venture outside in the cold weather + cut down some forsythia branches. I crushed the ends and then placed them in vases around our house. I know Spring is technically here, but it's still cold and nothing has bloomed :( But these branches are ready to pop. I have some branches that have already popped, but I forgot to take photos of them :(
Yesterday afternoon the temperature reached 58 degrees. Which felt like summer! It was just too nice to be inside working, so I took a few hours and worked in the garden. Cleaning up and prepping for a new veggie garden we are planning on. I'm so excited to grow vegetables this year.
William is SO into Indiana Jones. Lego's has been promoting the film and they have a whole new series based on the movies. Which is great, but we really don't need anymore legos, but we might have to get him at least one new set featuring Indiana.
Above, is William's Indiana Jone's stance. {he thinks this jacket looks like Indiana's... } He and Davis have been playing outside, using his jump rope as a whip, wearing his cowboy hat, and Davis playing Maryanne. Their imaginations are so wonderful. It's funny, yesterday at school, I heard him yell out to a friend, "close your eyes, don't look into the light!" How cute is that? Words, right from the first movie. I love it!

holy gamoly. I've been busy busy busy filling orders for my Tag it wine + gift tags. Everyday I seem to be getting more and more orders. Which is fine by me :) Yesterday I shipped a pretty big wholesale order out. Which was a big relief :) The big orders take so much time in preparing for shipping. Because, as most of you know... I like to make each package feel like a present, which takes time to do. But I love to hear or get an email from the vendor saying, "this is the nicest package I have ever received!" Makes it all worth it.
For those of you who have bought my tags, thank you so much for your support. I truly appreciate it.
So tell me/us.. who have my tags...what do you think of them? Any reviews? Are they handy? Are they worth purchasing? I hope so.. let me know :)

Can there be such a thing as too many jellybeans + chocolate eggs? At this point, I'm going to say yes~ I've eaten far too many chocolate eggs in the last few days. I'm done! really. No more. yup. Not going to eat anymore candy. Really :)
This year Easter was way too early for me to get my act together and do a lot of decorating. I managed to make some small Easter Buckets to bring to my mum + dad, and as a quick spring pick me up I took some bunny peeps, and stuck them in my pots of grass using bamboo skewers. They make me smile :)
I did manage to put together baskets for the kids {with not too much candy} and to hide @50 easter eggs filled with candy throughout the house. They were so excited to come downstairs to find eggs hidden everywhere. I love the above photo of the kids. I asked them to pose for me and without me asking, they both put their arms around each other and hugged. How sweet is that?

I hope everyone who celebrates easter had a wonderful day with family and friends. We had a lovely day at my parent's house. The kids are relaxing on the couch now, in a sugar stuper :)
We "coloured" eggs on Saturday. An activity we all enjoy doing together.
Here is a funny little conversation I had with the kids this past week.
Me: Hey pumpkins, this weekend let's dye eggs.
Will + Davis: We're going to kill eggs! Why?? {with real dismay in their voices}
me: no no no sillies, we're going to colour eggs... with dye... you know make them pretty colours.
will + davis: oh good. we don't want to kill anything. That would be bad... and we're good.

Another custom ordered Gocco'd ribbon for Erin at Bluebirdbaby. {she has a great blog} I love the typeface she asked me to use. It's different and has such a funky feel to it.
Erin has a lovely Etsy Shop where she sells the most charming clothes for children and women. You should wander on over and check out her shop. (she also sells the cutest barrettes!)

I do a lot of custom baby announcements, wedding invitations + showers, birthday invites etc. They are always fun to work on. The people I do the work for are aways so nice and appreciative of the work I do. Which is no surprise as the events are always happy occasions.
I just finished these baby announcements for my friend's sister-in-law. (I also did her wedding shower invites a few years ago) Next week I will start her christening invites. I never took photos of these kinds of projects, but decided that I should. Something fun to put on my blog :)
Anyway, my client knew she wanted to use a shamrock and the color green. {they are pretty Irish} Other than that, she was open to anything I came up with. She provided the wording and a bunch of photos, which I converted to black and white. I usually show two designs and most of the time the end product is a hybrid of the two. I think they came out pretty sweet. I also like creating a custom sticker/stamp for closing up the envelopes. This is usually the one detail that I create that people absolutely love.

Every year, since William was born, I have made custom calendars for my family and myself. Originally, I just made two: one for my parents and one for me. I'd cull through all my photographs from the past year, pick my favorite ones, print on high end paper, and then spiral bind them. Well, now I print out nine calendars every year. It costs me around $200 dollars in ink and paper to produce them... but they are worth it. It's funny, I start designing and printing in early November but without fail, the week before Christmas I am still printing or binding them up. My family says {and they could be pulling my leg} that they look forward to getting this calendar every year... so this year, I am going to start in September so I might be done by November :)

I have no idea where the past week went! Sorry for the lack of posts. I was giving my wrist a break. {from the fall I took last week} Typing and being at the computer really made my wrist ache. So I decided I should take it easy... did not want to aggravate it more. I'll be better next week.
It's a rainy, rainy day here in Boston. But I like it. Makes me very productive to be inside. I made Ina Garten's Sour Cream Coffe Cake this morning as a special treat for William. He just finished his addition + subtraction levels at school. He's now onto the multiple tables. AND the big news... he's been reading now for about two weeks. It's amazing how all the sudden, he just got it. Not bad for a five year old, huh? And not to be outdone, Davis has actually memorized some of the books we read so she can say she is reading too :)
Speaking of reading... I just finished "T for Trespass" by Sue Grafton. Loved it. I've read all her books. And this one did not disappoint. I tried, I mean, I really, really tried to read, "Travels in the Scriptorium" for my bookclub, but I just could not get into it. I read about 3/4 of it. And then just gave up. Our new book is Eckhart Tolle's, "A New Earth". I put in a request for it at my library, but the wait list is, oh, about 245 days for it! Just discovered it's on Oprah's bookclub list. Ahhh, the power of Oprah! I hope I can get it in the bookstore.
Any LOST fans out there? I am loving this season. So freaking fantastic. "The Economist" and "The Constant" episodes? Blew me away. I was in tears when Penny + Desmond were talking. It was so sincere and sweet. Oh, and I have been sucked into American Idol. I did not watch last season, but because of the strike, and not much on, I am watching. Of course, I think David, the 16 year old, is amazing. When he sang "Imagine" I could not believe how beautiful it was. Again, tears. Yup, I'm a big old baby. I tend to cry easily lately. I blame it on the drugs I am on :)

March 1st – how did that happen?
And, did you know Easter is March 23rd this year? That's three weeks away. Holy cow!
Well, the other night I did something right out of a sitcom. I fell over one of the kids toys and really hurt my wrist in trying to break my fall. It still hurts, but nothing is broken.
Boy, did it scared the kids... which is kinda good... because it made them understand the importance of picking up their toys and not leaving things around. Someone could get hurt. {mainly me!} My fall could also have been due to the change in my medication. My doctor decreased some of my meds. I'm taking them every other day. So I am feeling a bit loopy lately + and I have the shakes. But I'm sure to feel better soon.
Anyway, for some reason I can't post without showing a photo... so above are some snippets from around my house. I have some pots in my kitchen window growing some rye grass. I love the look of them. They remind me that spring is three weeks away. Yippee for that. I am so over winter.
