It's embarrassing. My kids know more Spanish than I do. I think I need to pay more attention when Dora + Diego are on! I guess it helps too that they learn some Spanish in School as well. But boy, when William asked me something in Spanish the other day, I had to say, "hey kid, in english." :) So now I'm going to go and brush up on some basic Spanish so I can feel like a decent parent.
See the ribbon above? It's going to be transformed into some preppy belts for Davis. She's so little. Her pants are too big in the waist for her. I decided I would make her some belts. I bought some cotton twill to back the ribbon up to. Wish me luck, because I'm just going to wing this project. If anyone has any advice, in english please :), I'd be happy for it.
Davis was in no mood this am to have her photo taken. She's at that age, that she does not like to have her photo taken. William went through that stage, too, but happily, he's over it. But I wanted to take the photo for my mum. See mum, that's the pretty pink jacket you gave Davis. I don't think you've ever seen her wear it. But she does. When I put it on her again this am, she was all, "oohhh, thank you mummy. So pink."
The fonts above are some free fonts I downloaded. One called TypeFace 38 {for hola} and the flowers are from a font called Rakugaki. So many fun dingbat fonts out there!
{oh, why the dump truck in the photo? While I was taking the photo, the kids spotted the truck carrying lifesaver candies to the right of them. You can see it above...the glance to the truck and NOT to my camera!}
