william + davis posing in front of the train stop in north conway, new hamphire
ROCKS! I honestly feel that I have gained a day, and not just an hour! {Though, it's not even 9:30p and I'm ready for bed.} I got so much done today. We took off the last three days and went up north with the kids. we stayed at the mount washington hotel in bretton woods. We had a terrific time. we ended the trip with a visit to chuckie cheese. a first for us, but i'm sure not the last. (we went to the one in new hampshire... so it might be awhile before we make it there again... but don't tell the kids!)
davis was enamored with chuck and the gang. they have a stage were the characters sing and dance. she insisted that i bring her over for a closer look. everytime "helen" the duck looked towards us, davis would start to wave. honestly, it was the sweetest thing i've seen for a long time. william would not go down the slide of the juggle gym and i had a flashback to the marshfield fair two years ago when neal had to literally climb up one of these gyms and rescue william from the top. i was in heels, and there was no way I was climbing up that thing!
Today, i unpacked, did a few loads of laundry, washed some windows, (ok, neal did most of them. we've been on a kick lately, cleaning all the windows in our house. wow. what a difference a clean window makes!) vaccumed, caught up with some paperwork, finalized some invoices, did some work, and managed to play with the kids + the dogs! Oh, and I made some homemade chili. yummy.
monday is going to be a tough day. I have so much work to do since I took thursday + friday off. It's a good thing I have this extra hour :) I think everyone of my client's needs something from me on monday am. which is going to be a challenge because I have a pixie wand to make for davis's costume, and a garden to transform into a graveyard all before halloween on Tuesday. priorities!
davis is going to be tinkerbell + william is going to be superman. they are so excited about getting candy. (and so is neal) I made the mistake of buying a bag of candy a few weeks ahead of time. of course, It's totally gone now. neal just bought four new bags for tuesday. He just came into my office looking for it. there is no way those bags of candy are being opened up!
on top of my regular work, nicole and i have been thinking of holding another taylor made designs
trunk show. they've been pretty successful in the past. though, this time, I do not think i'll do custom orders, but instead, create all the product I want to sell, and make it available for purchase that afternoon/evening. Normally, I have samples, and let the customer "taylor" their order. But the holidays are tough enough without having to fill orders.
here's a peek at one of my taylor book {6 x 9} which comes with a refillable spiral notebook, has an inside pocket to hold stuff, a business card slot, + a pen loop. the spiral notebook has quotes on each page with an cute black + white illustration. different theme quote notebooks are available, such as: love, art, business, life etc.the taylor book also comes as a mini (4.75 x 6) a perfect size to fit into your cute handbag :) both come in a variety of colours and button enclosures. of course, everything can be "taylor made" just as you want. i'll post more photos later + upload my catalog.
